Kinja'd!!!

After a short conversation a bit back in the comments section I have been tossing around an idea. What is it you may ask, car b que. Cooking with your car. The idea has been tossed around around here and there have been articles dedicated to it but I want to take it a step further. The idea is that I hone my writing skills, buy a camera, jot down a ton of cooking ideas, and finally write a series of articles about cooking with your car. These articles would include detailed instructions of how to prepare the food, where the optimal placement for the food is and whatever else seems worthwhile to include. There will also be a short video to accompany each article. So Oppo, what do you think?

Placement is highly dependent on engine and how quickly you want it done. Working and want to heat your lunch up quick? Throw it on the exhaust manifold (wrapped in foil, of course). Used to use a straight six F150, was perfect for it and heated up awesome. Got a few hour drive and just want a meal done when you get there? Toss it on the valve cover or somewhere by the radiator hoses. Takes longer, but won't burn your food. Older cars tend to have more locations and cooking options that the plastic covered stuff nowadays. It's almost as if manufacturers don't give a thought to cooking with your vehicle anymore (at least in my cars). It would be interesting to see how different cars or recipes work. I've only done simple stuff myself.

I've got two cars in mind at least, one is an old Lincoln continental(I've already said too much) and the other is my Taurus. I think the Taurus is a nice middle ground, except for the fact it has less plastic than newer cars.
